Taxpayers in Singapore now have access to a quicker and simpler way to manage their tax payments through the new eGIRO service introduced by DBS and the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). Individuals and businesses with accounts at participating banks can now apply electronically to make tax payments through GIRO, an electronic direct debit mechanism. Previously, corporate taxpayers had to submit paper applications to pay via GIRO. This new integrated solution has enhanced the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore’s payment capabilities and allows taxpayers to set up hassle-free payments easily.
